Swimming, Chicago, Father's Day and More!

We have packed a lot into the last couple weeks! Dustin and I are always so busy during the school year with basketball and school stuff that we barely feel like we see each other.  In the summertime we get really spoiled spending so much time together!  We try to stay as busy as possible in the summer with things to do.  It seems like if we have nothing to do Owen gets really bored and acts up...which in turn makes me cranky!  So we try to get out of the house as much as possible.  Pretty sure he gets that from me!  I am not a homebody!

We have had a great two weeks!  I will explain it all through our pics! :)

Owen had his last day of preschool!  We STILL have not made a decision about Kindergarten yet but we will ASAP!

We spent a lot of time playing in water in our back yard! Dustin's mom bought us a good sized pool for the back yard.  Owen loves it!  Ella prefers to stick to the baby pool and sprinkler!

Dustin and I took a trip to Chicago to see a cubs game with two other couples!  It was so much fun!  We stayed the night and had so much fun!  The kids stayed the night with the Haney's and had a lot of fun also.

We got a game ball for Owey!

When we got home we went golfing at The Trophy Club.  Owen looks forward to golfing every time we go to my dad's house.  This was Ella's first time and she loved riding in the cart and running around the course. Owen is actually hitting pretty good this year.  He is such a perfectionist that he usually gets moody because he wants to be better than he is but he still has fun.

We went to Sahm pool in Fisher's with The Uhlman's.  Ella was scared to go too far into the pool but loved the sprinkler park area.

We had our last tball game this week!  I am sad that it is over because I love watching Owen play!

So proud of his first trophy!

Dustin's sister and I took my kiddos and their cousin Skyla to PBS in the park downtown.  The kids had so much fun!  We got to watch an animal show where they had some exotic and local animals to pet and learn about.  They also got to meet Alpha Pig...had story time with Curious George, got to pick out books to take home, and play games.  It was such a great event and even better, it was free!

Ella sleeps with a Curious George stuffed animal every night so when he came on stage she was mesmerized!!

On Father's Day my dad came for a visit and then we went to Dustin's parents for a cook out.  Then we headed to an Oakley pool party for the other side of the family.  The kids swam and played all day.

Tomorrow Starts Summer Vacation!

Can't believe how fast this school year has flown!  Tomorrow is the last day of work for me (Dustin got out today) and tomorrow is Owen's very last day of preschool!  We are also saying goodbye to our sitter Kathy who we will miss dearly!  She is heading back to her old job!  We won't know what to do with out her but we are so happy for her :)

I haven't posted for a couple of weeks so I will show you what we have been up to!

My cousin Emma stayed the night with us before Memorial Day...We met my aunt in the park in Danville so Emma could go home and we stayed and played.  I went to Danville park a lot as a child so I was excited to take the kids there.  Their play area is huge and different that what the kids are used to.  They loved it!

After one of Owen's tball games, we went to DQ.  Ella enjoyed her very first Dilly Bar :)

Owen can now get Ella out of the crib by himself.  He comes in out room and asks if it's ok to get her out since they are both awake.  He usually puts her down and they jump in bed with me but this time they headed to the living room where he made her a bed on the couch with all of her stuffed animals.  I thought they looked so cute.  I live for moments like this when they aren't driving each other crazy!

Owen had his first play date at our house!  This winter he went to the Lewis's house so it was our turn to host.  I went downstairs to the playroom to check on them and found all 4 kids in Ella's ball pit.  So cute!

Ella really wants to be a part of her big brother's team!!

Could she be any cuter!?

My cousin's baby Hadlee turned 1 and both of my kiddos had fun running and playing at her party!

On Wednesday Owen graduated from preschool!  He has had the most amazing experience at Hornet Park and I am so very sad that it is over!  His teacher is amazing and we have been so lucky that he has been a part of the program there.  His teacher always makes a DVD slide show and photo album of pictures from the year for each child.  Here are a few pics from that day.  We will sure miss it!

Owen L. and Owen O. They have been best buddies from the start!

Is it summer yet...

Only two weeks of school left but for some reason they are starting to drag!! This week I didn't take many pics.  We were busy and it seemed like every time I reached for the camera it was not with me!
Last weekend started out with Justin and Mindy Oakley's wedding.  We had such a great time!  There is something about wedding that just put you in a good mood and reminds you of your own wedding and marriage.  After the wedding most of the Oakley's went to Ogara's for a few drinks and we always have a fun time with them!  It was also nice to have some alone time with Dustin without the kids.  They spent the night with my Aunt Jean and had a blast!

The rest of the week consisted of a Doctor appointment for Ella...we finally past the 20 pound mark and she is weighing in at 21 pounds at 19 months!  Exactly what Owen weighed at 6 months!  Total opposites that is for sure!!  We also took the kiddos to Monkey Joe's to celebrate Owen filling up another sticker chart for good behavior.  Ella really had fun this time since it was her first time really jumping and playing there. Not going to lie...I was happy she needed help going down the slides.  Owen was excited that I was in there with them too! Wish I would have remembered to bring my darn camera! GAH!
Here are the few pics I do have from the week!
Spent a lot of time chatting on the phone

Moved to the family table this week...No more high chair.  We love having her closer to us!

Cold softball game last night!

Love this smile!
